Police, The Fourth Amendment, Qualified Immunity

Steiger v. Hahn, Dist. Court, ED Michigan 2016

This is a fascinating case where a criminal prosecutor claims that he, himself, was charged with criminal fraud, allegedly due to his criticism of police that he worked with in a professional capacity.  I thought the court’s dismissal of the First Amendment retaliation claim was poorly reasoned, and hope that that part of the case is appealed.
